Subaru Launches SubieCrew to Build Local Enthusiast Chapters
Subaru of America is moving away from centralized brand management to a hyperlocal model with the launch of SubieCrew, an initiative establishing 50 chapters across the United States. The program aims to transition owner advocacy into structured, ambassador-led community events supported by the company’s national retailer network.

The new initiative relies on nearly 700 ambassadors to manage local operations, with each chapter featuring a dedicated director and specialized team. These groups are tasked with organizing events ranging from trailhead gatherings and car meetups to community service projects aligned with the Subaru Love Promise pillars. By providing a digital platform for event management and RSVP tracking, the company intends to foster in-person connections for Gen Z and Millennial owners who report feeling digitally exhausted.
Joseph Pawlicki, Owner Loyalty Manager at Subaru of America, noted that the program is designed to amplify existing owner passion while providing tangible benefits, such as product development access and perks from partner brands like SiriusXM. Developed in partnership with creative agency Motive and digital transformation firm Wondersauce, the program seeks to formalize the grassroots efforts of the brand's most active advocates. Owners interested in local participation can coordinate through the newly launched web portal at thesubiecrew.com.
