HCLSoftware Acquires Robotiq.ai to Scale Agentic Automation
HCLSoftware has announced its intent to acquire the Zagreb-based RPA provider Robotiq.ai, a move aimed at bridging the gap between AI decision-making and actual execution. By integrating Robotiq’s robotic process automation into its UnO Agentic platform, the firm plans to automate workflows in environments lacking robust API access.
The deal, expected to close in November 2026, targets the growing corporate demand for production-scale automation that extends beyond experimental AI. While HCL UnO Agentic currently focuses on reasoning and orchestration, the addition of Robotiq.ai provides the mechanical capability to interact with legacy applications where traditional integration methods fall short.
Robotiq.ai currently services large-scale financial, insurance, and telecom clients with a platform built on ISO-certified security standards. Kalyan Kumar, President of HCLSoftware, stated that the acquisition allows the company to move from simple AI experimentation to governed, reliable execution. Darko Jovišić, CEO and co-founder of Robotiq.ai, noted that the merger provides his technology the global scale necessary to integrate automation into broader, governed enterprise processes.
