ICF Lands $70 Million Los Angeles County Energy Efficiency Contract
Los Angeles County has awarded ICF two multiyear work orders worth a combined $70 million to bolster the Southern California Regional Energy Network. The contract tasks the Reston-based firm with driving public sector energy efficiency programs, aiming to lower utility costs and improve grid stability across the region.
The agreement, finalized in August 2026, expands ICF’s existing role under the county’s Energy Support Services Master Agreement. The company is now responsible for end-to-end implementation across the SoCalREN territory, including engineering, construction management, and project financing. ICF plans to leverage its Sightline analytics platform to identify peak demand periods and deploy targeted strategies to high-need communities.
Kyle Wiggins, ICF’s senior vice president for energy, environment and infrastructure, noted that the firm has supported SoCalREN for over a decade. During that period, the partnership has launched four public sector programs and nearly doubled annual energy savings for the portfolio. This latest expansion builds on that track record, focusing on accelerating high-impact infrastructure projects to meet local climate and reliability goals.
