Greenberg Traurig Hires Sherry J. Sandler to Lead Investment Group
Sherry J. Sandler, a veteran attorney with nearly 25 years of experience in securities regulation and transactional law, has joined Greenberg Traurig as a shareholder. She will serve as co-chair of the firm’s Investment Management Group and the Long Island Corporate Practice, bridging operations across New York and Florida.
Sandler arrives from Meltzer, Lippe, Goldstein & Breitstone, where she founded the firm's Investment Management and Funds practice. Her career includes a decade in senior in-house counsel roles at the New York Stock Exchange, Knight Capital Americas, and Rodman & Renshaw. She also established an advisory firm focused on capital markets for Fortune 500 companies and investment institutions.
Executive Chairman Richard A. Rosenbaum noted that Sandler’s multidimensional background in compliance and business leadership aligns with the firm’s strategy to scale its investment management capabilities. Beyond her leadership roles on Long Island, she intends to work from the firm’s West Palm Beach office, leveraging her admission to the Florida Bar to strengthen the firm’s service footprint in the region’s growing financial sector. Her practice covers fund formation, M&A, and private equity, with a focus on coordinating multidisciplinary teams for complex regulatory matters.
