CEO Claes Westerlind confirmed that the company’s core strategic pillars—Execute, Excel, and Evolve—remain the blueprint for its evolution into a pure-play power cable systems provider. A key component of this trajectory is the ongoing expansion of the Karlskrona facility, which is set to become the world’s largest offshore power cable factory. Construction is currently running ahead of schedule, with commercial operations now slated for the second quarter of 2027 to meet the company's 2030 financial targets.

To balance its EUR 2bn investment program with shareholder returns, NKT introduced a tiered capital allocation policy. The company aims to keep net interest-bearing debt below 0x EBITDA while prioritizing both organic growth and strategic acquisitions. Shareholders can expect a minimum annual dividend of 20% of adjusted net profit, with additional excess cash earmarked for share buybacks or extraordinary dividends. These priorities are designed to maintain financial flexibility as the company works through its current order backlog.
