Global Furniture Industry Converges at Shanghai's 2026 Dual Expos
With 180,448 total visits recorded, the 31st China International Furniture Expo and Maison Shanghai concluded their five-day run in Pudong on September 11. The events, held across the Shanghai New International Expo Centre and the World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, drew participants from 184 countries, marking a significant year-on-year attendance growth of 10.3%.
The combined exhibitions spanned 350,000 square meters, hosting over 3,200 brands that showcased the entire furniture production value chain. International interest surged, with overseas visits climbing 14.6% to reach a record 37,394. Attendees from Asia dominated the international segment at 53.82%, followed by a strong European presence led by Russia, South Korea, and Japan. Domestic interest remained anchored in the regional hubs of Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu.
Professional buyers and design institutions comprised the majority of the crowd, using the platform to secure partnerships, scout emerging trends, and place on-site orders. While Furniture China focused on manufacturing capabilities and global supply chains, Maison Shanghai highlighted interior design and lifestyle innovation. Organizers CNFA and IM Sinoexpo have already confirmed the return of the dual event to Pudong for September 7–11, 2027.
