Jaguar Uranium Secures Permit for La Rosada Prospect in Argentina
Jaguar Uranium Corp. has received Environmental Impact Assessment approval from the Chubut provincial government for its La Rosada prospect. The permit clears the way for exploration across six properties covering nearly 60,000 hectares, representing a quarter of the company's total footprint at the Laguna Salada uranium-vanadium project.
The authorization allows the Toronto-based company to launch an immediate field program following the winter season. The work will focus on the La Rosada area, located 45 kilometers northeast of the Guanaco prospect, which secured its own environmental clearance earlier this year. Jaguar intends to deploy a multi-faceted exploration strategy featuring systematic geochemical sampling, detailed geological mapping, and radiometric grid surveys. Additionally, the team plans to utilize electrical resistivity tomography to identify and assess deep fluvial paleochannels across the site.
CEO Steven Gold described the approval as a significant milestone that streamlines the company’s ability to advance its broader Argentine portfolio. The newly permitted zone encompasses 59,895 hectares, including the La Rosada property itself and five surrounding Horqueta blocks. This expansion is part of a larger district-scale project spanning 230,000 hectares. C. Gustavo Fernandez, a consultant to the company, has verified the technical data supporting the exploration plan under National Instrument 43-101 standards.
