Omnissa pivots toward autonomous IT with new AI governance and agents
With AI assistant usage across enterprise endpoints surging 1,000% year over year, Omnissa is shifting its strategy to address the resulting visibility gap. At its Omnissa ONE 2026 event, the company unveiled a suite of autonomous agents and governance tools designed to help IT teams manage complex, machine-driven work environments.

The rapid adoption of unsanctioned AI tools has left many IT departments struggling to maintain oversight of their digital ecosystems. Omnissa is responding to this fragmentation by introducing Elara, an authority layer for AI governance that monitors how applications and agents interact within a corporate environment. By aggregating signals from disparate systems, the solution allows administrators to apply policy controls before high-impact actions occur, effectively bridging the distance between operational insight and automated execution.
Beyond governance, the company is expanding its portfolio with specialized agents for endpoint management. The new lineup includes a Digital Employee Experience agent for automated troubleshooting, a Vulnerability Defense agent capable of prioritizing and patching security flaws at machine speed, and a Windows App Lifecycle agent to automate application packaging. These tools operate on a platform that currently processes 50 terabytes of endpoint data daily. By integrating these capabilities into a unified infrastructure, Omnissa aims to move IT teams from reactive monitoring to a proactive, autonomous model that supports both human users and AI agents.
