Yellow.ai Debuts Nexus EDGE to Automate Employee Desktop Tasks
San Mateo-based Yellow.ai is shifting enterprise AI from passive assistance to active resolution with the launch of Nexus EDGE. By installing an agentic desktop application directly onto employee computers, the company aims to bypass traditional help-desk ticketing systems, allowing software to fix IT and HR issues in real time.

Unlike standard enterprise search tools that merely provide instructions for a workaround, Nexus EDGE interacts directly with local applications. The system pairs a cloud-based reasoning engine with a local desktop agent capable of perceiving screen states and executing commands. This allows the software to resolve common technical roadblocks—such as VPN failures or software installation errors—without requiring human intervention.
Yellow.ai CEO Raghu stated that the platform aims to close the gap between identifying a problem and executing a fix. The application operates strictly within existing role-based permissions, ensuring that security protocols remain intact during automated tasks. By handling these operational friction points, the company reports that early deployments have significantly reduced L1 support ticket volumes, returning hours of productive time to employees. This release marks the company’s formal entry into what it defines as Employee Experience Automation, extending its existing agentic interface beyond customer service into the internal workforce.
