Transit Technologies Launches AI-Driven Ecolane Platform
Transit agencies often struggle to maintain schedules when faced with daily disruptions like driver absences and traffic congestion. To address these volatility issues, Transit Technologies has unveiled a reimagined Ecolane platform, designed to continuously re-optimize transit service in real-time by automatically recalculating trip assignments as conditions shift.
Built on two decades of operational experience, the updated system integrates scheduling, dispatching, and fleet data into a single interface. CEO Gerry Leonard noted that agencies switching to the platform frequently report a 30% increase in rides-per-hour productivity. The software suite includes dedicated applications for riders and drivers, alongside predictive analytics that provide dispatchers with a clearer view of fleet performance.
Evidence of these efficiency gains is already visible at Harford Transit LINK. Administrator Gary Blazinsky reported that the agency doubled its passengers per hour, jumping from 1.2 to 2.7, while simultaneously cutting overtime costs by 90% and saving $91,000 annually in fuel. This release marks the first major deployment within the company's broader TransitTechOS ecosystem, which aims to unify workforce, safety, and operational data across diverse transit environments. Transit Technologies plans to demonstrate the platform at the upcoming APTA 2026 TRANSform Conference & EXPO in Chicago.
