Aurora Towers Appoints Martin Pinnes as CEO
Martin Pinnes has taken the helm as Chief Executive Officer of Aurora Towers, stepping into the role on September 28, 2026. He succeeds Lawrence Gleason, who led the firm on an interim basis and will now shift his focus to chairing the company's Board of Directors.

Pinnes arrives with a background spanning telecommunications infrastructure and finance. He joins the Toronto-based firm after serving as Chief Operating Officer at Shared Tower, following earlier tenures at TeraGo and FlexNetworks. His career includes a significant period as a Senior Portfolio Manager at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, where he managed public equity investments across international markets.
Pinnes described the appointment as a strategic moment for the company, citing the critical nature of tower infrastructure in supporting Canada’s expanding digital economy. He will work alongside a leadership team that includes Chief Financial Officer Darryl Humphries and Vice President of Business Development Melissa Yu.
Lawrence Gleason, who steered the platform through its recent development as a standalone entity, expressed confidence in the transition. In his new capacity as Chair of the Board, Gleason intends to provide ongoing oversight as the organization targets its next phase of expansion.
