eMed and The Female Quotient Target the $1 Trillion Women's Health Gap
A new partnership between digital health firm eMed and The Female Quotient aims to transform women's health from a niche concern into a primary economic priority. By connecting healthcare executives and employers, the initiative seeks to close systemic care gaps and potentially unlock $1 trillion in global economic value by 2040.

The collaboration officially kicks off at the FQ Health Summit in New York on October 14. This event serves as the first in a series of cross-sector discussions designed to move beyond abstract conversation toward tangible improvements in healthcare access. Chloe and Olivia Ferro, founders of sheMed, will join the inaugural session to address the necessity of personalized, technology-driven care models.
Linda Yaccarino, CEO of eMed, framed the initiative as an urgent economic opportunity rather than a peripheral social issue. The strategy centers on leveraging virtual care and at-home diagnostics to dismantle traditional barriers. Shelley Zalis, CEO of The Female Quotient, emphasized that these efforts are intended to yield practical changes for women in their daily lives, particularly regarding how employers support workforce well-being and preventive care accessibility.
