Lucid Overhauls Air Interface With New Air UX 3.0 Software

The update, which reaches 2025 model year vehicles via an over-the-air delivery, introduces a swipe-based card system on the Left Cockpit Panel to prioritize frequently used features. Drivers gain access to new Quick Controls by swiping down from the Pilot Panel, facilitating faster transitions between navigation, media, and vehicle settings. Security also receives an upgrade with a new PIN-protected guest profile system.

Navigation capabilities have been enhanced to include dual-screen functionality and tailored EV routing that accounts for specific charging network preferences and range requirements. Additionally, the integration of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto now spans the full right side of the Cockpit Display, offering a larger interface for phone-based tasks.

While the software arrives automatically for newer models, owners of 2022, 2023, and select 2024 vehicles can access the update by purchasing an infotainment processor hardware upgrade. This modification is priced at $950 in the United States, covering both the hardware and installation costs. Marc Solsona Palomar, the company's VP of Software, described the rollout as a push toward more reliable and intuitive interactions for existing owners.
