King's Hawaiian Expands Seasonal Line with Maple Brown Sugar Rolls

After a brief social media tease and an initial limited e-commerce run, King's Hawaiian is bringing its new Maple Brown Sugar Rolls to retail shelves nationwide on October 1. The seasonal release aims to capture autumn nostalgia by incorporating real brown sugar crumbles into the brand's signature soft, sweet dough.

The company is positioning the launch as a centerpiece for fall gatherings, encouraging consumers to serve the rolls at brunch or incorporate them into seasonal recipes. According to Chief Marketing Officer Raouf Moussa, the goal remains rooted in the brand's tradition of facilitating shared meals, with this specific flavor profile designed to provide a warm, comforting experience as temperatures decline.

Beyond the bakery aisle, King's Hawaiian is leaning into lifestyle branding with a limited-edition collection featuring sweatsuits, blankets, and scented candles. The expansion includes a high-profile collaboration with the Los Angeles-based chocolatier Compartés. The resulting chocolate bar features bits of the new rolls embedded in milk chocolate infused with maple and brown sugar, blending the two brands’ artisanal and mass-market identities.
