By running directly at the home gateway, the new CUJO AI system bridges this visibility gap. It tracks proxy traffic back to a single device and provides operators with actionable remediation steps, allowing them to resolve issues before bandwidth consumption or IP reputation damage escalates.

Chris Turner, Chief Product Officer at CUJO AI, noted that the technology moves beyond simple alerts by providing definitive answers. This shift changes the provider-subscriber dynamic; instead of issuing generic warning letters or account suspensions, operators can now notify customers about specific compromised devices and offer clear instructions for security fixes. According to Steven Offerein, Vice President of Device and Protection Services, this allows providers to position themselves as proactive protectors rather than just enforcers. The capability is currently rolling out to CUJO AI’s network partners, who support millions of households globally.
