Specialty1 Partners Adds Connecticut Practice to National Network
Greater Waterbury Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons has joined the Specialty1 Partners network, a move that expands the Houston-based organization’s footprint to 226 locations. The Connecticut practice, led by Dr. John J. Hillgen IV, maintains its local clinical autonomy while gaining access to the group’s broader administrative and operational infrastructure.
The Waterbury-based practice, located at 1389 West Main Street, specializes in a range of procedures including dental implants, bone grafting, and the treatment of facial injuries. Dr. Hillgen, supported by an investment from Dr. Michael Caruso of Westchester Implant & OS, noted that the partnership provides the resources necessary to scale their established community care model without sacrificing clinical focus.
Dr. Matthew Haddad, co-CEO of Specialty1 Partners, stated that the acquisition aligns with the organization’s criteria for growth, prioritizing practices that demonstrate clinical excellence while preserving their existing culture. Specialty1 Partners, which supports over 350 specialists across 29 states, has appeared on the Inc. 5000 list for six consecutive years. This latest venture marks a continuation of the company’s strategy to integrate high-performing dental specialty practices into its national framework.
