StanCraft to Close Post Falls Templin's Hotel for Redevelopment

The decision follows a detailed assessment of the property's long-term potential. Since taking ownership, StanCraft has focused on refreshing the hotel’s amenities and expanding the adjacent Marina 33. While the hotel portion of the complex will cease operations to allow for structural evaluation, the marina remains fully functional. StanCraft representatives stated that the closure is a necessary step to honor the location's history while creating a modern destination that better serves the community.

Marina 33 continues to operate as a central gathering point on the Spokane River, with plans to expand its offerings. Current upgrades include new boat and water sport rentals, a fixed pier boardwalk, and additional public docking space. The ownership group is also introducing slip ownership opportunities for boaters, signaling a shift in focus toward long-term water-based recreation. StanCraft, a family-owned firm with roots in custom boat building, indicated that further details regarding the hotel’s future design will be released as planning continues.
