H.I.G. Capital Exits Italian Beauty Retailer Pinalli

After a rapid expansion that saw the beauty chain grow to 108 locations, H.I.G. Capital has finalized the sale of Pinalli to the Borletti Group. The deal marks the end of a brief but transformative investment period for the Italian omnichannel platform, which reported revenues of 197 million euros in 2025.

Since H.I.G. took a majority stake in 2023, Pinalli underwent a significant operational overhaul. The company expanded its physical footprint from 63 to 108 stores while simultaneously scaling its e-commerce capabilities. Beyond the physical growth, the firm introduced a refreshed brand identity, launched a private-label line, and curated a more diverse selection of digital-native and international brands. This strategy helped the retailer build a loyalty program now exceeding one million members.

For the Borletti Group, the acquisition is an entry into a business that has demonstrated consistent growth and a clear focus on omnichannel engagement. Maurizio Borletti, founding partner of the investment group, stated that his firm intends to support the next phase of development by continuing to invest in network expansion and digital infrastructure. Pinalli CEO Raffaele Rossetti noted that the company achieved its business objectives ahead of schedule under H.I.G.’s tenure, positioning the brand to transition to new ownership with a strengthened market presence.
