OSCP Secures Series A Funding to Scale ITAR-Free Photonic Navigation
Navigation failures caused by GNSS jamming have migrated from the battlefield to civilian shipping lanes and airports, prompting a surge in demand for resilient alternatives. Montréal-based OSCP is addressing this shift with a new Series A financing round led by New Science Ventures to accelerate production of its photonic inertial sensors.

The capital injection will support the expansion of engineering and sales operations while scaling the manufacturing of the company’s ITAR-free photonic inertial measurement units (IMUs). Somu Subramaniam, managing partner at New Science Ventures, has joined the board of directors, signaling a strategic focus on integrating these sensors across defense and transportation platforms.
Since closing the round in August, OSCP has accelerated its product roadmap, launching the NavigationGate system and adding open-source support for its MK2 IMU family. The company, which qualifies as a supplier for Canada's Defence Drone Initiative Marketplace, aims to provide tactical-grade accuracy that remains functional when satellite signals are degraded or unavailable.
