Jason Hollar, chief executive officer of Cardinal Health, characterized the move as a reinforcement of the company’s core capabilities in serving large-scale retail pharmacy networks. The renewal provides a predictable operational horizon for both entities, ensuring the continued flow of pharmaceutical and specialty products across the CVS footprint.

Following the announcement, Cardinal Health reaffirmed its financial outlook for the 2027 fiscal year, projecting non-GAAP earnings per share growth between 13% and 15%, or $12.40 to $12.60 per share. Management also maintained its long-term non-GAAP EPS growth target of 12% to 14%. Investors can expect further clarity regarding these figures during the company’s first-quarter earnings call scheduled for November 5, 2026.
