Patrick Dovigi, founder and CEO of GFL, credited Gransch’s two-decade background at SECURE as the primary driver for the promotion. During his time at SECURE, Gransch navigated various executive positions, including CFO and COO, helping scale the company into a diversified waste management platform. Dovigi expects this experience to directly influence GFL’s ongoing growth strategy and operational execution across its North American network.

Simultaneous with the leadership shift, Billy Soffera is vacating the COO position. Soffera will transition into the role of senior strategic advisor, where he will continue overseeing specific value-creation initiatives. GFL, currently the fourth-largest diversified environmental services firm in North America, operates across Canada and 19 U.S. states with a workforce exceeding 17,000 employees.
