X-Rite Pantone Debuts Spectura Platform for Connected Color Quality

Manufacturing firms often struggle with fragmented color data, relying on manual transfers that impede production speed and accuracy. X-Rite Pantone is now addressing these bottlenecks with the launch of Spectura, a portable spectrophotometer platform designed to bridge the gap between laboratory standards and real-time production floor workflows.

The Spectura platform integrates advanced optics, high-definition camera targeting, and temperature-aware measurement within a single, durable device. By utilizing secure cloud connectivity through X-Rite Color iQC, the system eliminates the need for manual data entry, allowing quality managers to monitor results across distributed sites and supplier networks instantly. This shift toward digital, centralized data helps firms identify inconsistencies early, reducing rework and ensuring tighter adherence to color standards.

"Manufacturing is becoming increasingly distributed, requiring workflows that preserve data integrity wherever decisions are made," said Ben Spiegel, Director of Product Management at X-Rite Pantone. The series launches with three distinct models: the S60 for basic comparison, the S62 for routine quality control, and the S64, which is engineered for high-precision tolerances and compatibility with existing Ci7800 benchtop systems. The hardware also features NetProfiler integration to maintain alignment with established X-Rite handheld and benchtop units.

Beyond current quality control, the platform is built to evolve with future regulatory requirements, including upcoming CRA compliance. X-Rite Pantone plans to showcase the series at FAKUMA 2026 in Friedrichshafen, Germany, followed by a global digital launch event on October 21, 2026.
