Selerix Debuts AI Tool to Halve Benefits Setup Time

Plano-based Selerix has introduced Build Assist, an artificial intelligence tool designed to automate the configuration of employer benefits programs. By digitizing plan documents and client workbooks, the platform aims to streamline manual setup workflows for carriers, brokers, and implementation teams while maintaining human oversight of all final data entries.

The new tool integrates directly with Selerix’s BenSelect platform, functioning as a guided workflow that populates eligibility rules, plan structures, and rates from uploaded source materials. Once the AI drafts the initial configuration, it flags missing information and prompts users to finalize the specifics. According to internal company projections, this automation can reduce total case build times by as much as 50%.

To address security concerns, Selerix developed the technology in-house using a closed-loop model. The system relies exclusively on verified, client-specific data, ensuring that sensitive information remains contained within the company’s secure environment. Chief Product Officer Ruthie Gray noted that the tool is intended to replace the most error-prone aspects of case implementation with a structured, human-reviewed process. This launch expands the company’s existing suite of AI-driven utilities, which already includes support tools for HR administrators and employee enrollment assistance.
