Just Shrimp Declares October 25 as 'Shrimpmas'
Santa Claus may be famous for his love of cookies, but North American seafood brand Just Shrimp is betting he prefers a crispy, protein-rich snack. The company has officially designated October 25 as Shrimpmas, a new holiday falling exactly two months before Christmas to celebrate the versatility of coastal shrimp.

The campaign, coinciding with National Seafood Month, aims to position shrimp as a stress-free alternative to traditional holiday appetizers. To support the launch, the brand is partnering with Harris Teeter for a buy-one-get-one-free promotion on its frozen shrimp nuggets. Running from October 14 through October 27, the deal offers shoppers a savings of $6 on the product, which is currently stocked in nearly 250 store locations.
Founder Lee Edmondson noted that the initiative is designed to build brand awareness while encouraging consumers to adopt a lighter, faster approach to holiday hosting. Beyond the retail promotion, the company is rolling out a digital strategy that includes a dedicated microsite, influencer collaborations on TikTok and Instagram, and social media contests featuring gift cards. Just Shrimp emphasizes that its nuggets contain no artificial fillers or preservatives, relying on product sourced from North American coastal waters.
