TCC Turns Old Mobile Devices Into Resources for Domestic Violence Survivors
Throughout October, more than 600 TCC wireless retail locations across the United States are collecting used mobile phones and tablets to support survivors of domestic violence. The initiative, running during National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, directs proceeds from recycled devices to the nonprofit organization More Than a Phone.

The drive accepts smartphones and tablets in any condition. Donors are encouraged to clear personal data from their devices before dropping them off, though store staff are available to assist with the process. These contributions provide survivors with essential tools to connect with support networks, access critical resources, and maintain contact with loved ones.
Courtney Kibble, Executive Director of Round Room Gives and More Than a Phone, noted that unused technology often holds untapped potential to assist those in need. Beyond the collection drive, TCC employees are participating in volunteer events and wearing purple throughout the month to raise awareness about the prevalence of domestic violence. This project aligns with the broader philanthropic mission of TCC's parent company, Round Room, which has distributed over $11 million in community grants to date.
