ArchKey Acquires US Communications & Electric to Scale Technology Services

St. Louis-based ArchKey has acquired Cleveland’s US Communications & Electric, a move designed to bolster its national footprint in specialized technology integration. The deal integrates a portfolio covering audio-visual systems, network infrastructure, and security solutions into ArchKey’s existing electrical and critical infrastructure platform, effective October 1, 2026.

Founded in 1996, US Communications & Electric brings a workforce of over 130 professionals to ArchKey. The firm has a track record of more than 10,000 completed projects, serving high-demand sectors such as healthcare, data centers, and government services. By absorbing these operations, ArchKey aims to deepen its technical expertise and expand its service delivery capabilities across North America.

ArchKey CEO Steven Stone emphasized that the acquisition is a strategic alignment of culture and technical capability. Patricia Connole, founder and CEO of US Communications & Electric, noted that the partnership was chosen to secure the company’s long-term growth while maintaining the service standards established over nearly thirty years. James Connole, President and COO of the acquired firm, will focus on scaling their technology presence throughout the Eastern Region under the new corporate structure.
