Valour Assets Surge to $640 Million as DeFi Technologies Expands

DeFi Technologies’ asset management arm, Valour, reported a significant jump in assets under management, reaching $640.2 million as of September 25. This 61.2% increase from the end of the second quarter highlights sustained investor demand and a broader push by the company into actively managed hedge fund strategies.

The growth, fueled by consistent month-over-month net inflows, provides a larger capital base for Valour to generate revenue through management fees, staking, and trading activity. Bitcoin and Solana remain the primary drivers of this portfolio, accounting for the bulk of the firm's assets. To capitalize on this momentum, the company recently launched the Smart Crypto Fund SP, its first hedge fund for professional investors, managed in partnership with Neuronomics AG.

Beyond its core exchange-traded products, the firm is developing new institutional infrastructure, including a custody solution and a proposed UCITS platform. These initiatives aim to diversify revenue streams beyond traditional ETP offerings. As of June 30, the company maintained a debt-free balance sheet with approximately $135 million in liquidity, providing the financial flexibility to support these ongoing product expansions and infrastructure development projects.
