Dr. Marius Anton Ionescu, Scientific Communication and Medical Director at Uriage, emphasized that modern dermatology increasingly relies on a nuanced understanding of the skin's immune mechanisms. The company’s latest research centers on its 'Triple Barrier' approach, which seeks to rebalance the microbiome, regenerate the physical barrier, and regulate immune responses.

Central to these presentations is XEMOSE C8+, a new formulation utilizing eight biomimetic ceramides. Clinical trials indicate that the balm significantly addresses symptoms of atopic dermatitis, reporting a 62% reduction in pruritus and a 65% decrease in dryness within 30 days, while simultaneously increasing microbial diversity. Parallel research on the BARIEDERM-CICA+ Repairing Cream demonstrates its efficacy in controlled skin regeneration, showing a 90% reduction in redness and visible damage for patients recovering from dermatological procedures or surface wounds.

Beyond therapeutic treatments, Uriage also addressed photoprotection. Studies on their BARIESUN range suggest that the integration of non-occlusive polymers can effectively limit the skin penetration of UV filters. These clinical insights are now available to medical professionals via the Uriage Pro platform, which provides access to an extensive dermatology atlas featuring over 12,000 clinical images.
