Redwood City-based infrastructure orchestrator Spacelift has secured a finalist spot in the 2026 TechForward Awards, earning recognition in the AI-Driven Cloud Infrastructure category. The selection highlights the company’s role in integrating policy enforcement and audit controls into workflows accelerated by artificial intelligence.

The award program, managed by SiliconANGLE, evaluates nominees based on tangible customer outcomes, including expansion revenue and direct user feedback. Spacelift differentiates itself by applying traditional infrastructure-as-code (IaC) governance—such as role-based access control, drift detection, and approval gates—to AI-assisted provisioning. Pawel Hytry, CEO and co-founder of Spacelift, noted that while AI has significantly increased the pace of infrastructure requests, speed remains secondary to maintaining secure, compliant audit trails. Founded in 2020, the company has raised $82.3 million to date and maintains a significant footprint in the platform engineering community, notably as a primary contributor to OpenTofu and the organizer of IaCConf. The firm’s platform currently supports diverse environments, including Terraform, Pulumi, and Kubernetes, serving enterprise clients such as Figma, Duolingo, and Moody’s.
