Verra Mobility Names Jon Newhard as CEO

Newhard arrives at the NASDAQ-listed company with more than two decades of experience in the transportation and mobility sector. He most recently served as CEO of Yunex Traffic GmbH, a global provider of intelligent transportation systems. His background also includes leadership roles at Clinc, Inc., Trafficware, and Cubic ITS. Chairman of the Board Patrick Byrne cited Newhard’s track record of scaling businesses and his customer-centric approach as primary drivers for the appointment.

Newhard succeeds Jon Keyser, who held the position of interim President and CEO since June 2026. Keyser will remain with the company in an advisory capacity to facilitate the transition. The change in leadership follows a period during which Verra Mobility focused on simplifying its organizational structure and stabilizing its core operations. Newhard, a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point with an MBA from Harvard Business School, will now oversee the company’s efforts to integrate advanced data and software solutions across its international footprint.
