Supio Launches Case Communications to Automate Legal Workflow

Supio unveiled Case Communications at the Law-Di-Gras conference in San Diego, a new platform layer designed to integrate external client and provider interactions directly into the firm’s case management. The system allows AI agents to autonomously handle emails, calls, and faxes, shifting the burden of routine administrative tasks away from attorneys.

The platform functions as a unified communication stack for the company’s existing Supio Agent, extending its reach beyond internal firm data to include insurance carriers and medical providers. By connecting disparate channels into a single source of truth, the technology addresses a persistent industry bottleneck where roughly two-thirds of a firm's work involves external coordination. Instead of manual data entry, the system captures incoming transcripts and documents, automatically routing them to the relevant case files while triggering follow-up actions like HIPAA-compliant record requests.

Alongside this release, the company introduced Agent Simon, a specialized collaboration developed with the Simon Law Group. This tool codifies the firm's institutional knowledge, allowing other legal practices to license and apply specific strategies for case evaluation and file management. According to CEO Jerry Zhou, the objective is to eliminate operational lag by creating a continuous loop between information gathering and case-building tasks. By automating persistent follow-up workflows, the system enables firms to maintain consistent best practices across their caseloads, potentially increasing capacity without requiring additional administrative staff.
