Walt Disney’s Personal Gulfstream Plane Opens for Public Tours

For the first time, aviation enthusiasts and Disney fans can walk inside the newly restored Gulfstream I used by Walt Disney himself. The Palm Springs Air Museum is hosting five exclusive evening events, moving the aircraft out from behind velvet ropes to allow guests a rare, up-close look at the historic interior.

The two-hour experiences offer more than just a cabin tour. Each evening features light refreshments and keynote presentations from figures deeply connected to the aircraft's history, including former Disney pilots and archivists from The Walt Disney Company. Among the scheduled speakers are Disney Legend Bob Gurr and Walt Disney Archives Director Rebecca Cline. These sessions are designed to provide context on the plane's role in the company's expansion during the 1960s.

Tickets are priced at $65 for the general public and $50 for museum members, with children under 12 admitted free. Given the limited capacity of the hangar events, organizers expect high demand for the dates spanning October 2026 through April 2027. Visitors can secure their spots via the museum’s website, where they can also find information on special lodging rates for out-of-town attendees.
