West Pharmaceutical to Showcase Injectable Tech at CPHI Milan
West Pharmaceutical Services is bringing its latest advancements in injectable drug delivery to CPHI Worldwide in Milan, Italy. The Exton-based company plans to leverage the international stage to demonstrate its integrated packaging solutions, specifically focusing on the SelfDose patient-controlled injector and the Synchrony S1 prefillable syringe system.

Shane Campbell, the company's Senior Vice President, emphasized that the firm’s presence at the October event centers on addressing complex packaging and delivery hurdles that pharmaceutical developers face today. By integrating the SelfDose injector with the Synchrony S1 platform, West aims to highlight a design-forward approach to patient-centered medication administration.
Beyond showcasing hardware, the company has scheduled two technical sessions at the Packaging and Device Innovation Theater. On October 6, Richard Kieran will lead a presentation on strategic CDMO partnerships, focusing on methods to accelerate market entry while managing development risks. The following day, Dan Yates will join a panel discussion to address the trade-offs inherent in large-volume drug delivery and the resulting challenges in patient choice.
West currently operates a global network of 50 sites and maintains a workforce of over 10,000 employees. The company, which reported $3.07 billion in net sales for fiscal year 2025, remains a primary supplier for the pharmaceutical sector, distributing more than 41 billion components and devices annually.
