Aviro360 Debuts Compact Mobile Yard Inventory System
Chicago-based logistics provider Aviro360 has launched its third-generation mobile inventory hardware, a computer-vision platform designed to replace manual yard checks with automated, real-time tracking. The updated unit features a 50% reduction in size and a 75% decrease in both weight and installation time compared to its predecessors.

The new hardware reflects years of operational feedback, specifically addressing the challenges of visibility after cargo enters a facility. While early iterations focused on gate automation, the company shifted its engineering toward continuous yard monitoring to eliminate the minutes lost in manual equipment searches. According to Scotty Fletcher, Operations Manager at Inter Metro Properties, this automation saves approximately five minutes per asset, a figure that scales significantly over a full operational day.
Technically, the system relies on edge processing to maintain performance during network disruptions, ensuring constant visibility regardless of connectivity. The software layer remains backward-compatible with previous hardware, allowing existing clients to access improved asset identification and digital twin capabilities without a full system overhaul. The company reports that the technology reduces human labor requirements by over 80% while cutting asset search times by 90%, aiming to minimize the inventory discrepancies that typically lead to costly logistical delays for 3PLs and distribution centers.
