Olio Piro enters the wellness market with physician-backed olive oil
After years of treating terminal illness, Los Angeles-based oncologist Lawrence Piro is shifting his focus toward prevention. Alongside Tuscany-based grower Romain Piro and CEO Marie-Charlotte Piro, he has launched PiroMD, a line of single-serve, high-phenolic organic extra virgin olive oil sachets designed for daily consumption.
The product utilizes the same low-temperature extraction and double-filtration technology as the original Olio Piro brand to preserve bioactive compounds. Each 15 mL sachet is USDA- and Ecocert-certified, intended to simplify the integration of the Mediterranean diet into modern routines by providing a precise, portable dose for smoothies, coffee, or salads.
Dr. Piro, who serves as president and CEO of The Angeles Clinic and Research Institute, views the product as a practical extension of his clinical work. By packaging the oil in daily portions, the founders aim to reinforce consistent health habits linked to cardiovascular support and cognitive function. Customers can currently pre-order a 31-day supply via the company website, with shipping across the United States scheduled to begin November 1.
