Elijah Craig Launches Tavern Trail for Seventh Old Fashioned Week
Bourbon enthusiasts and hospitality professionals are preparing for the seventh annual Old Fashioned Week, running October 9 through October 18. This year, the celebration expands with the debut of the Old Fashioned Tavern Trail, a curated list of 70 venues across the United States designed to foster community and conversation.
The initiative serves as a tribute to the classic cocktail while providing financial support for those working behind the bar. For every Old Fashioned sold at participating locations, one dollar is donated to the Southern Smoke Foundation, which provides emergency relief and mental health services to industry workers. To date, these efforts have generated more than $600,000 for hospitality organizations across the U.S., Canada, and the U.K.
Timed to coincide with the lead-up to America’s 250th anniversary, the Tavern Trail highlights destinations ranging from historic, colonial-era establishments to modern gathering spaces. Max Stefka, Associate Vice President of Elijah Craig Bourbon, noted that the project emphasizes the return of tavern culture and the importance of analog, face-to-face social experiences. Patrons can identify participating venues and locate trail stops using the digital tool provided on the official event website.
