Sport Clips Launches 13th Annual Scholarship Drive for Veterans
Nearly $17 million has been raised to date through the Help A Hero campaign, a program designed to bridge the financial gap for service members whose military education benefits expire before they complete their degrees. This year’s fundraising effort runs through mid-November at locations across the United States.

The initiative, spearheaded by the veteran-founded chain Sport Clips Haircuts, provides scholarships of up to $5,000 per semester for veterans and active-duty personnel ranked E-5 and below. Since its inception, the program has funded more than 3,600 scholarships in partnership with the VFW Foundation. To mark the campaign, participating stores will offer free haircuts to veterans and service members on Veterans Day, November 11.
This year's drive features support from Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Landon Robinson, a 2026 U.S. Naval Academy graduate and Marine Corps second lieutenant. His involvement highlights the program's focus on career transition, a sentiment echoed by scholarship recipient Michael Ventura. An Army veteran currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts at Texas State University, Ventura credits the financial aid with allowing him to focus on his creative writing and teaching career. The scholarship window remains open through November 14, 2026, with further details available at the company's website.
