MUFG Executive Hailey Orr Named to American Banker's NEXT List
Hailey Orr, Managing Director and Head of Corporate Strategy & Development at MUFG, has been named to American Banker’s 2026 Most Powerful Women in Banking: NEXT list. The annual ranking identifies emerging leaders whose strategic contributions are actively reshaping the trajectory of the financial services sector.

Orr’s inclusion in the NEXT program marks a milestone in her six-year tenure at the firm. Kevin Cronin, President and CEO of MUFG Americas, cited her background in Capital Markets Strategy and her ability to drive consistent growth as foundational to the recognition. Her work has been instrumental in navigating the firm’s recent corporate development initiatives.
American Banker’s selection committee highlighted the unique pressures facing financial executives throughout 2025 and 2026, noting that honorees were chosen for their capacity to execute complex, high-stakes decisions amid economic volatility and rapid AI integration. Holly Sraeel, SVP of Strategy and Content at American Banker Live Media, emphasized that these leaders have proven their ability to adapt business models under significant industry-wide strain.
Honorees will gather for a series of events in New York City later this month. The schedule includes a leadership conference at The Altman Building on October 20–21, followed by a gala celebration on October 22 at the American Museum of Natural History.
