Metro Diner Debuts on Greenville’s Woodruff Road
The Woodruff Gallery shopping center now hosts the first Greenville outpost of Metro Diner, a 3,700-square-foot space at 1178 Woodruff Road. The restaurant, which seats 159 guests across its dining room and patio, marks the latest expansion for the Florida-born chain known for hearty, scratch-made American comfort food.

Managing Partner Justin Sheffield, a 20-year veteran of the restaurant industry, oversees the new location. The menu focuses on all-day breakfast alongside lunch and dinner staples. Signature offerings include the Fried Chicken & Waffle, topped with strawberry butter and a signature sweet-and-spicy sauce, and the Iron City Meatloaf, a dish that gained national prominence after an appearance on the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
Sheffield describes the company culture as a primary draw for his leadership role, aiming to establish the diner as a neighborhood hub. While the team currently operates from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, they intend to extend service until 8 p.m. in the near future. Patrons can reach the restaurant at (864) 372-1452 or via the company website for further details on catering and menu updates.
