MIAX Exchange Group Reports Record Year-to-Date Trading Volume
Miami International Holdings marked a significant growth milestone in September 2026, as its exchange subsidiaries reached a record year-to-date average daily volume of 11 million contracts. This performance represents a 22.0% increase compared to the same nine-month period in 2025, underscoring rising activity across its multi-list options platforms.

The Princeton and Miami-based firm, which operates the MIAX, MIAX Pearl, MIAX Emerald, and MIAX Sapphire exchanges, captured a 17.1% market share through September. This figure edges out the 16.7% share recorded during the prior-year period. While the group saw strong year-to-date gains, September performance showed a slight softening, with options average daily volume reaching 10.7 million contracts, a 0.7% decrease from September 2025.
In the equities sector, MIAX Pearl reported an average daily volume of 103 million shares, reflecting a 49.7% decline compared to the same month last year. Conversely, the MIAX Futures Exchange saw divergent results across its product lines; agricultural futures volume grew by 34.5% to 8,036 contracts per day, while financial futures reached an average daily volume of 2,226 contracts. The company continues to manage eight distinct exchanges globally, spanning options, equities, and futures markets.
