DeepL Voice Recognized on Fast Company’s 2026 Tech List
Fast Company has named DeepL Voice to its 2026 Next Big Things in Tech list, highlighting the platform’s real-time speech translation capabilities. The recognition focuses on the tool's Applied AI breakthrough, which allows users to speak naturally in their own language while listeners hear an immediate, accurate translation.

The technology aims to dismantle linguistic barriers in global business, allowing companies to recruit talent regardless of location. Since the April 2026 launch, DeepL has refined its models to preserve a speaker’s distinct tone, rhythm, and vocal expression. This update ensures that participants in multilingual meetings remain recognizable, moving beyond the flat, synthetic output typical of earlier translation tools.
Corporate adoption is already driving measurable efficiency. Clients such as Aramark and Avendra International report cutting meeting times by up to 50% while achieving near-total participation from non-native speakers. Similarly, the IT consultancy Inetum utilizes the software to manage knowledge sharing across 28,000 employees in 19 countries. By offering a dedicated API, DeepL is now pushing the technology into custom applications and contact centers, signaling a shift toward embedding real-time translation directly into the infrastructure of global operations.
