DCA Manufacturing Secures AS9100D Aerospace Certification
DCA Manufacturing has secured AS9100D certification for its facilities in Troy, Michigan, and Cumberland, Wisconsin, marking a pivotal expansion into the high-stakes aerospace and defense sectors. This international quality standard validates the company’s capacity to handle complex electronic systems where reliability and precision remain non-negotiable requirements for mission-critical hardware.

The certification covers the full lifecycle of printed circuit board assemblies and complex system integrations, ensuring adherence to rigorous protocols regarding product safety, configuration management, and the prevention of counterfeit components. CEO Upinder Singh noted that the credential provides clients with verified assurance that the firm possesses the necessary controls to manage high-reliability electronic programs.
This achievement builds upon a pre-existing compliance portfolio that includes ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and IATF 16949. By integrating AS9100D, the company aligns its operational framework with the stringent demands of the defense industry, while maintaining its established support for NIST SP 800-171, ITAR, and IPC workmanship standards. With over four decades in the electronics sector, DCA continues to leverage its Wisconsin and Michigan sites to support diverse markets ranging from automotive and energy to emerging technologies.
