Lanolips 101 Ointment Secures National Eczema Association Seal
The National Eczema Association has awarded its Seal of Acceptance to the 101 Ointment Multipurpose Superbalm, a signature product from the Australian skincare brand Lanolips. This recognition, arriving during National Eczema Awareness Month, highlights the product's formulation as a viable option for those managing sensitive or eczema-prone skin conditions.

The ointment centers on ultra-pure lanolin, an ingredient ethically sourced from sheep's wool that mimics the lipid profile of human skin. Unlike conventional barriers that simply coat the surface, this formula is designed to absorb into the skin to support the barrier and mitigate moisture loss. Kirsten Carriol, founder and CEO of Lanolips, described the certification as a milestone that validates the brand’s long-standing focus on deep hydration for compromised skin.
To secure the NEA’s endorsement, the product underwent a rigorous review by an independent panel of dermatologists, allergists, and eczema experts. These specialists evaluated the ointment’s ingredients, formulation, and clinical safety data against established standards. The brand plans to leverage this new designation through educational campaigns and in-store signage at retailers such as Walgreens, aiming to simplify the search for effective skincare for the more than 31 million Americans affected by eczema.
