The research team highlighted three core pillars of their recent work: skin aging, sensory data, and regional consumer preferences. Researcher Eun-Jeong Choi led a study on heat-accelerated aging, utilizing deep learning to identify transcriptomic signatures that predict how skin responds to environmental stress. This work, recognized as a Top 10 Podium Fundamental Research honoree, provides a new framework for testing ingredients designed to mitigate age-related damage.

Simultaneously, Jeong Yu Lee introduced a method for the digital quantification of skin hydrodynamics. By using electroluminescent visualization to track moisture movement, the team successfully correlated physical skin changes with subjective consumer sensory evaluations. This technology, honored in the Top 10 Podium Applied Research category, aims to remove the guesswork from product testing by converting skin interaction into hard data.

Beyond lab-based science, the company is applying AI to global market analysis. Jinseob Shin of the Americas R&I Center utilized AI-driven video interview analysis to map consumer preferences for sensitive-skin moisturizers across Brazil and Mexico. By pinpointing specific drivers like absorption speed and barrier repair, the study demonstrates a shift toward objective, AI-enhanced consumer insights. CTO Brian Byung-Fhy Suh noted that these hybrid technologies are central to the company’s mission of achieving 'Holistic Longevity' in an era of changing environmental conditions.
