The company’s Simplicity AI SDK, now in public beta, enables developers to leverage AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot and Cursor directly within their workflows. By grounding these general-purpose tools in Silicon Labs-specific context, the SDK provides structured guidance for Bluetooth Low Energy projects, from initial configuration to debugging. This is complemented by Simplicity Design Intelligence, a new suite of capabilities designed to verify that hardware and software implementations align with original product requirements. The first feature, the Hardware Intent Agent, scans schematics and documentation to identify potential pin conflicts or mismatches before physical fabrication begins.

Silicon Labs is also shifting toward an open-source model, launching a developer community on GitHub. This move allows engineers to access sample applications, propose fixes, and contribute code, with the company integrating approved improvements directly into future software releases. To address the challenge of scaling edge AI, a new partnership with Databricks allows enterprises to manage embedded models within their existing data workflows. By connecting device fleets to Databricks, teams can utilize familiar training pipelines and GPU resources, while the Silicon Labs ML Profiler provides feedback on whether a model will fit the memory and CPU constraints of target hardware.
