Sight & Sound Brings Biblical Epic Joshua to Cinemas Nationwide
To mark its 50th anniversary, Sight & Sound is partnering with Roadside Attractions to bring the stage production Joshua—Live! to movie screens across the country. The cinematic recording captures the biblical narrative on a 300-foot wraparound stage, scheduled for a nationwide theatrical release on October 30, 2026.

The production follows the journey of the Israelites as they transition from the leadership of Moses to Joshua, navigating wilderness challenges and a final siege against Jericho. Creative producer Ryan Miller describes the show as a study in radical trust, emphasizing that the narrative explores the internal resolve required before the walls of the city could fall. To ensure the experience translates from the stage to the screen, cameras were positioned to capture every detail of the performance, including an original gospel-infused soundtrack and a cast that features live animals ranging from camels and horses to goats and pigs.
Roadside Attractions co-presidents Howard Cohen and Eric d'Arbeloff noted that the decision to distribute the film followed the success of their previous collaboration, A Great Awakening. The project aims to provide access to those unable to visit the organization's permanent theater venues in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, or Branson, Missouri. With Sight & Sound currently reaching over four million guests annually through live performances, streaming, and film, this release serves as a strategic expansion of their mission to present scriptural stories to a broader audience. Tickets for the October 30 premiere are available at JoshuaLiveMovie.com.
