ICE Gathered 50 Million Voter Records in Push to Probe Election Fraud

Fifty million voter records have been ingested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to documents obtained by Democracy Forward. The cache, part of a federal initiative to scrutinize alleged noncitizen voting, signals a significant expansion of the agency's investigative scope ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

The 166-page disclosure reveals that the agency's Homeland Security Investigations branch has actively sought to link voter roll data with deportation software. Documents indicate that sensitive state records may have been integrated into Palantir’s ELITE app, a tool typically reserved for identifying and tracking targets for removal. Beyond digital surveillance, HSI considered deploying undercover agents to monitor nonprofit organizations suspected of facilitating illegal voter registration—though a review of 40 such groups in New Jersey yielded no evidence of wrongdoing.

Skye Perryman, CEO of Democracy Forward, described the findings as a coordinated effort by the executive branch to influence the electorate. The records highlight the influence of election activist Heather Honey, who reportedly worked with officials to funnel nearly 50 million records from independent sources into federal data collection systems. Priority states for these investigations include Texas, Pennsylvania, and Georgia, with federal agents also exploring potential probes into voting machines in specific counties that reported results in 2020. Hart Wood, senior counsel at the advocacy group, warned that the documents provide a chilling look at the administration's attempt to assert federal control over the democratic process.
