Calnex and VIAVI Partner to Bolster Network Performance Validation
Engineers are facing increased pressure to simulate real-world conditions as network topologies grow in complexity. To address this, Calnex Solutions and VIAVI have expanded their strategic partnership, creating a unified testing architecture designed to bridge the gap between lab-based simulations and actual production environments for next-generation infrastructure.

The collaboration integrates Calnex’s network emulation portfolio—specifically the SNE, SNE-X, and SNE-Ignite platforms—with VIAVI’s L0-7 testing solutions, including ONE LabPro, TestCenter, and CyberFlood. By combining realistic traffic generation with high-precision network impairment, the companies aim to provide a comprehensive validation suite for sectors such as AI, data centers, defense, and satellite communications. This move allows developers to identify performance bottlenecks and potential failure points before deployment, reducing the risks associated with modern, diverse network architectures.
This expanded relationship builds upon their previous work in Open RAN testing, where the companies already combined platforms like the TM500 and Paragon-neo to verify protocol and timing domains. According to Graeme Urquhart, VP of Sales at Calnex, the initiative allows the firms to leverage existing industry relationships to drive growth. Mark Bateman, VP of Sales and Channel at VIAVI, noted that the combined offering provides a foundation for performance assurance, enabling clients to move beyond basic lab models to verify how services will function under live conditions.
