ChatGPT integrates interactive UI elements for dynamic responses
OpenAI is transforming ChatGPT from a text-based chatbot into an interactive workspace with the launch of its Intelligent UI. Rolling out alongside the new GPT-6 models, this update allows the system to pair standard conversational responses with functional diagrams, tappable buttons, and custom calculators generated directly within the chat interface.

The integration marks a shift in how the model presents complex information. Rather than relying solely on descriptions, GPT-6 determines when to trigger interactive visuals, such as labeled mechanical diagrams or categorized scrollable tiles for instructional tasks. Users can now generate utility tools—including bill splitters or retirement savings calculators—that function in-line, turning the chat window into a mini-application environment.
Beyond the interface changes, the rollout introduces the Sol and Luna versions of GPT-6 to the platform. These models offer improved web search capabilities and the ability to stream partial answers, reducing wait times during data-intensive queries. OpenAI also claims these models exhibit higher resistance to safety bypass attempts. The features are available immediately for Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise subscribers, with a wider release to Go and free-tier users scheduled for Thursday.
