WOW! Secures Top Marks in CNET 2026 Broadband Rankings
Locked-in monthly rates and total pricing transparency have propelled WideOpenWest into the upper echelon of national internet providers. CNET’s 2026 rankings placed the Englewood-based company in a tie for second place among 31 evaluated competitors, highlighting a business model built on consumer predictability rather than fluctuating contracts.

The evaluation measured providers across speed, stability, value, and transparency. WOW! achieved a perfect 10/10 score in price clarity, bolstered by its signature Price for Life option. This program guarantees that a customer’s monthly rate remains fixed for the duration of their tenure, a feature CNET cited as the primary driver for the company’s high value rating of 9.5/10.
CEO Frank van der Post attributed the recognition to the company’s focus on long-term customer experience. Beyond its pricing structure, the provider maintains a policy of no data caps, no overage fees, and no long-term contracts. The company currently operates a fiber-rich network passing nearly two million homes and businesses across 20 markets, including service areas in Michigan, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.
